California treatment requirement

Our providers are licensed to treat patients who are physically located in California. If you live elsewhere, you will need to be in California for appointments and plan for consistent treatment.

Insurance and treatment costs

Coverage and out-of-pocket costs vary by treatment and health plan. Mind Therapy Clinic is an out-of-network provider for psychotherapy. Review our insurance information and contact your plan about possible benefits.

Medical and psychological screening

If you are interested in KAP, review the considerations below. An item that applies to you may mean our outpatient program is not the right setting, or that additional clinical review is needed.

  • Sleep apnea
  • Uncontrolled blood pressure
  • Untreated heart conditions
  • History of psychosis
  • Elevated stroke risk
  • Active mania
  • Recent traumatic brain injury
  • Untreated seizure disorders
  • Recent suicide attempt or hospitalization (within the last 12 months) – You might not be a candidate for KAP until you have a longer period of stabilization, but this can be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
