Open Position! Associate Master’s Level Therapist

We are looking for an Associate Master’s Level Therapist to join our talented team of clinicians.

Mind Therapy Clinic is looking for a highly motivated therapist intern to provide as part of our multidisciplinary clinical team. In this position, the AMFT, APCC, or ASW will act as a half-time Assistant Admission Coordinator in support of the Admission Coordinator. The other half of the position is to provide direct clinical, therapeutic care. The ideal candidate would be an energetic new therapist, interested in working in a multidisciplinary clinic and learning from experienced psychiatrists, psychologists, and other master’s level clinicians in clinical skills of evaluation, individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy. The candidate should have good phone skills to speak to potential clinic clients and have good organization skills to manage the process of admissions.

Duties include doing the screening, clinical phone calls, and conducting admissions interviews for those admitting to the clinic’s Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs. In addition, the Assistant Admission Coordinator will also manage the admission and orient the client to the program. The position also includes direct clinical work including individual therapy, case management, and co-facilitating groups with senior therapists. The intern therapist will also attend weekly staff meetings, clinical consultation groups, DBT consultation groups, and admission meetings.

Responsibilities:

Assist Admissions Coordinator
o Aid with screening phone calls for potential clinic clients
o Conduct admission evaluations to Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs
o Manage admissions to clinic programs o Orient new admissions to the clinic

Therapy
○ Provide individual therapy
○ Provide family therapy
○ Co-facilitate group therapy
○ Provide case management in coverage of case management staff as needed.
○ Attend weekly supervision with a licensed supervisor

Complete clinical notes for all client sessions in a timely manner
○ Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings and biweekly brief admissions meetings
○ Attend a weekly clinical consultation group and weekly DBT consultation group.
○ Respond to urgent client outreach as appropriate, based on clinical context and best practices

Requirements:
○ Have completed requirements to become an AMFT, APCC, or ASW in the state of California
○ Value working in a collaborative, supportive, multidisciplinary team setting of psychiatrists, psychologists, neuropsychologists, and therapists with a broad range of clinical specializations
○ Interested in varied clinical work including general outpatient and program-based care, short and long-term individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy along with clinical supervision
○ Tech-savvy and comfortable working with new technologies
