Job Description

This position is for a licensed therapist with expertise in delivering DBT, CBT, and other evidenced-based modalities. Mind Therapy Clinic is looking for a motivated team member who will be  able to provide a leadership role in the interdisciplinary clinical team. In this position, the therapist will be expected to carry a caseload of individuals, couples, or families, lead 1-3 therapy groups including a DBT Skills Group, and run the DBT Clinical Team. This individual will also be responsible for developing professional education opportunities for our team and the greater Bay Area therapy community, and supervising interns or trainees who are interested in the team.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical work a week, consisting of:

    • Meeting with clients (individual, family, or group settings)

    • Conducting supervision of trainee clinicians as assigned by the Clinical/Medical Director.

    • Cultivate professional development opportunities related to DBT for Mind Therapy Clinic team

  • Complete clinical notes for all client sessions in a timely manner

  • Supervise trainees as needed

  • Attend, participate in, and lead staff meetings, including Supervision, Team Meeting, DBT Consultation Team, Clinical Meeting, and others as appropriate

  • Respond to urgent client outreach as appropriate, based on clinical context and best practices

  • Maintain an active license to practice therapy in the state of California and supervise trainees

Requirements

  • Fully-licensed as a clinical psychologist, MFT, LPCC, or psychiatric social worker in the state of California

  • Trained and experienced in using DBT in a clinical setting.

  • 1-3 years of management or leadership experience preferred

  • Value working in a collaborative, supportive, multidisciplinary team setting of psychiatrists, psychologists, neuropsychologists, and therapists with a broad range of clinical specializations

  • Interested in varied clinical work including general outpatient and program-based care, short and long term individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy along with clinical supervision

  • Tech-savvy and comfortable working with new technologies

Compensation

  • $100-125K annual salary, commensurate with experience (Salary is negotiable. Listed salary range intended for a Master’s level clinician.)

  • 401K eligibility after one year of employment
