Amelia Howard-Smith, LMFT
For the past eight years, Amelia has been a core member of Mind Therapy Clinic, where she provides individual therapy and leads the Women’s Group and the Anxiety Therapy Group. Her therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based practices with a psychodynamic understanding of the individual. She has advanced training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and is currently completing training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to enhance her work with those impacted by trauma.
Amelia has a particular interest in addiction and its impact on the family system, supported by ongoing consultation and training with the Addictions Institute. She is deeply committed to helping clients navigate the complex intersections of trauma, anxiety, and substance use—always with a focus on healing, resilience, and personal empowerment.
