Wally Gustafson, PsyD

Postdoctoral Psychology Fellow

Dr. Wally Gustafson is a postdoctoral psychology fellow who earned both her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) and Master of Arts in Clinical Practice Degree (MA) from the University of Hartford, and her Master of Arts in Applied Psychology (MAP) from Rutgers University. She completed her internship at Ball State University College Counseling Center and has worked in community mental health settings and an eating disorder residential facility.

Dr. Gustafson’s work has been marked by a diverse range of clinical settings, populations, and presenting concerns. She has experience working with a variety of age groups, from children to older adults, who present with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, complex trauma, adjustment disorders, serious mental illness, the autism spectrum, eating disorders, and more.

She utilizes an integrative, strengths-based approach to therapy, applying a variety of interventions from CBT, psychodynamic, existential, solution-focused, and positive psychotherapy. Dr. Gustafson seeks to individualize treatment, valuing the whole person’s identities, values, and background. When she is out of the office, she enjoys water and snow-skiing, being creative, playing piano, and watching shows.
