Welcome Karen Palamos, LMFT!

Karen Palamos, LMFT is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has engaged in psychotherapy with adolescent and adult individuals, as well as couples for the last 25 years. Her professional roles have included Clinical Supervisor for psychotherapists in training and Clinical Director for a counseling center. Her orientation is holistic and eclectic meaning that she pulls from various traditions of psychotherapy including traditional talk therapies, trauma and somatic-focused therapy, Brainspotting, parts work, expressive arts therapy, breathwork, guided imagery, and the use of sound modalities.

Karen’s natural affinity for working within creative states led to an interest in also working with altered states of consciousness as an avenue to explore deeper meaning and to catalyze personal growth. In this spirit, she engaged in specialized training with the Integrative Psychiatry Institute to obtain her certification as a Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Provider.

Karen received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the California College of Arts and Crafts, a Master’s Degree of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the Graduate School for Holistic Studies at John F. Kennedy University, and a Master’s Degree of Arts in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute.
