Our Free Training Rescheduled to Webinar Format Friday morning, April 10 : Mindful Dating in the Digital Age

For Clinicians: As a friend of Mind Therapy Clinic, we’d thought you’d enjoy this free training on Mindful Dating in the Digital Age, Friday, April 10 VIA Webinar.

Due to the Bay Area “shelter in place” orders from our public health officials and governor in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Mind Therapy Clinic’s in-person training April 10 will move to a webinar format.

Attendees at this presentation will be able to:

  • Help clients identify their fears and struggles in dating so they no longer hold them back.

  • Clarify what really matters to your clients in a partner.

  • Support clients in understanding their attachment style so they can create healthier relationships

Participants will engage in experiential exercises and role-play to help practice these skills as you would with a client in session. Participants will explore how to help clients know what truly matters in relationships so they can enjoy the journey of dating, rather than worrying about a particular outcome.

A light supper will be served.

The training is free. For those desiring three Continuing Education units, there’s a $25 fee, paid in advance.

About Our Presenter, Ellis Edmunds, PsyD

Dr. Edmunds was born and raised in Oakland, CA and graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2009. He received his Doctorate of Psychology (Psy.D.) from the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) in San Francisco in 2013 where he wrote his dissertation on teaching mindfulness to socially anxious young adults. He has worked in community mental health, college counseling, and various Bay Area schools helping people from a variety of backgrounds improve their mental health and live more fulfilling lives.

Since starting his private practice in Rockridge, Oakland, CA in 2015 he has had the honor of supporting hundreds of people in the Bay Area to live with more peace, purpose, and presence.


Continuing Education

  • CE credits for psychologists are provided by the Spiritual Competency Resource Center (SCRC) which is co-sponsoring this program. The Spiritual Competency Resource Center is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Spiritual Competency Resource Center maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

  • The California Board of Behavioral Sciences accepts CE credits for LCSW, LPCC, LEP, and LMFT license renewal for programs offered by approved sponsors of CE by the American Psychological Association.

  • LCSWs, MFTs, and other mental health professionals from states other than California need to check with their state licensing board as to whether or not they accept programs offered by approved sponsors of CE by the American Psychological Association.

  • SCRC is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN Provider CEP16887) for licensed nurses in California.

Mind Therapy Clinic Pre-Paid Training Event Refund Policy:

The deadline to receive a refund for pre-paid Mind Therapy Clinic training events is three business days (72 hours) before the event.

Cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund. Refunds will not be available for registrants who choose not to attend an event. Cancellations will be accepted (in writing) via email and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline. All refund requests must be made by the attendee or credit card holder. Refund requests must include the name of the attendee and/or transaction number. Refunds will be issued by check.
