Dr. Alex Peterkin is a Postdoctoral Fellow and Psychological Associate at Mind Therapy Clinic. He received his B.A. in Psychology at the University of Virginia, his M.S. in Psychology at Old Dominion University, and his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Palo Alto University. He completed his pre-doctoral internship at Pacific Comprehensive Health in Portland, OR.
Dr. Peterkin practices humanistic therapy. He believes the role of therapy is to provide a space for clients to learn who they are and how they can be their best selves. He helps clients to identify what needs are not currently being met, to overcome barriers to their goals, and to support their personal growth. He aims to build a relationship of trust and understanding with his clients and use that relationship to find unique solutions to each client’s difficulties.
Dr. Peterkin is a registered psychological associate Psychological Associate # PSB94027695. He is supervised by licensed clinical psychologists Sara Drotman, PsyD #32094 & Jesse Rentz, PsyD #34134
