Family and Relationship Issues

September 27 @ 10:00 am-11:20 am

Manage emotions and Conflicts in Relationships

We learn a lot from our families and loved ones—much of it helpful, some of it not so helpful. We grow up in families that develop unwritten rules and roles, which are passed down from generation to generation and often subconsciously affect our behavior in current relationships.

We learn ways of managing emotions and conflicts that can be ineffective or even dysfunctional from our families and often feel tremendous pressure to continue our families’ patterns. We tend to relate to others in adult life based on the way we were raised which can lead to repeating unhealthy expectations and communication styles in relationships.

The Family and Relationship Issues group is a safe and supportive space to explore patterns learned in our families as well as tools and skills for managing current relationships. This group is best suited for individuals who have felt stuck in their relationships, have difficulty resolving conflicts, or struggle to set and maintain healthy boundaries in their families and in other personal relationships.
